90 points Wine Enthusiast: "Actually Petit Verdot-based, this wine is darker and deeper than Viader’s ’02 regular Cabernet blend. It has flavors of plums, boysenberries, cocoa and blackberries. It’s dry, but lush in fruit. One wishes it were firmer in tannins and acids, but there’s no denying its lusciousness." (11/05) According to Stephen Tanzer: "Moderately saturated ruby-red. Musky aromas of blackberry, licorice and dark chocolate. Full, plump and sweet, with a slight edge of acidity giving it good vinosity. Finishes with substantial dusty, slightly drying tannins."
