This week we’re featuring 2020 Ronco Dei Pini Sauvignon Blanc as our Wine of the Week!
Ronco Dei Pini’s 35 acres of vineyards are situated in the rolling hills of Friuli in the northeastern part of Italy while most of the grapes are grown in the DOC area of Collio Gorizoiano. The region of Collio enjoys a mild climate with a unique soil composition consisting of layered marl and sandstone which offer elements of minerality and salinity to the wines. Indigenous grapes as well as international varieties thrive in this natural environment.
This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is a lovely yellow hue in the glass followed by elegant aromas of tropical fruits and herbal notes. On the palate, it’s dry and delicate with nicely balanced acidity and subtle floral notes.
A wonderful match with shellfish, Thai food, pastas, vegetable dishes, or summer salads.
