This week we’re featuring 2020 MAN Vineyards Pinotage as our Wine of the Week! 

An extremely interesting grape, Pinotage is a must-try for anyone looking to expand their viticultural horizons. Pinotage is originally a hybrid crossing of Pinot Noir and Cinsault and has since become one of the most popular grapes of South Africa. Vineyards here are hot during the day and very cold at night allowing grapes to gain complexity and depth. 

This Pinotage from MAN Vineyards, a name which is derived from an acronym based off of the winemakers’ families, holds many of the traits that the grape is known for: medium body, decent acidity, ripe red fruits, and a touch of vanilla spice. 

The rich fruit and long finish of this wine make it a perfect pairing for a variety of red meats, spicy food, pizza, stews, grilled portobello mushrooms, or venison burgers.
