This Muscadet is out of this world! |

We’re featuring 2020 Pulpe Fiction Muscadet Sèvre et Maine as our Wine of the Week! This mysterious Muscadet is made from 100% Melon de Bourgogne grapes from Loire Valley, France. A collaboration between natural wine company, Bobo Selections and winemakers, Lise and Bertrand Jousset and Nicolas Reau, Pulpe Fiction is an unusual take on Muscadet. Yearning to create a natural Muscadet, the team found two organic farmers, Antoine and Phillippe Delaunay who owned 25 hectares of organically grown Melon de Bourgogne and set out to produce Pulpe Fiction. The soils in the vineyard are composed of decomposed granite with sandy topsoils, resulting in an all-natural Muscadet with notable finesse. This super tasty, slightly effervescent natural, and unfiltered wine is summer in a bottle with notes of green apples, citrus, melon, saline, and distinct minerality with some creamy texture from being aged on the lees (aka sur lie). You may also notice some cloudiness and sediment in the wine which is due to lack of filtration. While delicious by itself, it would also make an excellent match with oysters, salads, lean fish, appetizers, and soft cheeses. Try a bottle of 2020 Pulpe Fiction Muscadet for only $18.99 while supplies last. Cheers! |
